See You at the Nyack Street Fair!

MarcB IT branded white canopy tent set up in a parking lot, featuring the company logo on both the canopy top and back wall, in preparation for the Nyack Street Fair

Rain or shine, MarcB IT is making its debut at the Nyack Street Fair on Sunday, July 13, and I couldn’t be more excited! Over the weekend, I set up my branded tent and canopy for a dry run—just opposite Ward Acres Park in New Rochelle—to make sure everything is ready to go. And good news: it’s all systems go for next weekend!

It’s been a little over a week since my last post, mainly because we’re deep into the busy season at the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Corman Harriman Outdoor Center. This past weekend was especially full—all nine cabins, 12 tent platforms, and five shelters were booked solid. We welcomed guests from all over, and I spent the weekend assisting with check-ins and emphasizing the importance of proper food storage, especially for those staying on platforms and in shelters, to avoid any unwanted bear encounters.

Today is my day off from the campsite, so I’m dedicating it to catching up on MarcB IT tasks—checking in on my Google Ads campaign, replying to emails, and speaking with a Google Ads specialist to review performance and make any needed adjustments.

As for the street fair, I’m looking forward to connecting with attendees to hear about their most frustrating tech issues. Based on the work I’ve done so far, I expect to hear a wide range of challenges:

  • John in Manhattan needed help replacing a printer roller to keep his five-year-old HP LaserJet printer running—saving him nearly $400 on a new unit.
  • Peter in Mt. Kisco had lost wireless connectivity to his Canon printer. The fix? Finding and re-entering his router’s printer-specific password.
  • Maggie in Tarrytown needed support setting up and configuring her new Google Chromebook.

These are just a few examples of the local, personalized tech support MarcB IT provides. I’m eager to grow the business and build new relationships at the Nyack Street Fair. While the full setup—tent, canopy, signage—is definitely a workout, I’m excited for the opportunity to meet new clients and explain how affordable, reliable IT help can keep people productive and stress-free.
